For the apartment to stay cool and comfortable, keep doors and windows closed while the AC is on, and please switch it off when you head out.
We recommend bottled water for drinking. You’ll find it easily in the nearby supermarkets.
The shared pool is there for you to enjoy. It isn’t supervised, so please keep a close eye on children at all times.
A small gesture makes a difference: when you go out, please switch off the lights and AC, and use water thoughtfully.
Mauritius is wonderfully tropical, and a few local realities are worth knowing so nothing catches you by surprise.
Cyclones are part of island life. If one is approaching, we’ll keep you informed. Please also follow these simple precautions:
Living in the tropics also means occasionally sharing the island with geckos, ants, cockroaches, shrews and other small visitors. It’s part of the local environment and isn’t necessarily linked to cleanliness. Preventive treatments are carried out regularly to keep their presence to a minimum.
Nothing complicated here, just a few house rules so you, the neighbours and the guests after you can all enjoy the place comfortably.
Hopefully you won’t need them, but it’s always reassuring to know where to turn if something happens.

Some days are made for doing nothing. Others are made for the water, the trails and a little adventure. Here are a few ideas when you feel like moving.

One of the loveliest ways to see Mauritius: from the water, with the coastline opening up around you.

Paddle at your own rhythm, enjoy the clear lagoon and discover quieter corners from the water.

From gentle walks to more demanding trails, hiking is a beautiful way to see another side of the island.

For the adventurous: waterfalls, gorges and a proper dose of adrenaline in some spectacular scenery.

Slip beneath the surface and discover Mauritius from a completely different perspective, among coral, tropical fish and clear blue water.

If golf is your thing, Mauritius offers some beautiful courses where the scenery is almost as good as the game.
Send us a message. We can help organise and book boat trips, diving, kayaking and other island experiences for you.
We hope you’ve felt at home here. Before you leave, just a few little things will help us prepare the apartment for the next guests.
Send us your approximate departure time in advance so we can organise the key handover without rushing you on your last morning.
Before 11:00 AM
We simply ask that you leave the apartment with the same care you would give your own home. The cleaning fee covers the usual turnover cleaning between guests, but not excessive or deep cleaning.
We hope this apartment felt like more than somewhere to sleep, a little place to come back to after the beach, an adventure or a long Mauritian lunch. Thank you for staying with us, and we’d genuinely love to welcome you back one day.

If you enjoyed your stay, a review means a lot to us and helps future guests discover Orisun with confidence. And if something could have been better, please tell us directly. We’d always rather have the chance to listen, understand and improve.
